Already a runner-up in the Cross Country World Championships and multiple Juniors German Champion, last year Sofia Wiedenroth came in third in the German Championship and took second place in the Enduro competition. In her second year in the U23 category, the 20-year-old hopes to establish herself higher up in the ranks, closing in on the world elite. In 2014, due to a protracted injury, the young athlete from the Allgäu nearly missed out on half the season and was only able to compete late in the year. Sofia has her eyes firmly set on the World Cup as well as on a number of high-profile races in the Bundesliga and the Swiss Series. Season highlights will be the German Championships in Saalhausen as well as the World Championships in Andorra. For the season finale, the student of International Management will concentrate on her second competitive passion: Enduro racing.
